Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Jackson had an excellent college career, totaling 9,043 passing yards, 69 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions in three years at Louisville. He also had 655 rushing attempts for 4,132 yards and 50 touchdowns in college.
The former Cardinal only started seven games in his rookie season. Yet, fantasy players should see the massive potential. Jackson’s first year as the full-time starter came in 2019. That season, he had 3,127 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, 176 rushing attempts for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns. The second-year star was the MVP after leading the NFL in passing touchdowns and quarterback rating (83).
Jackson was the overall QB1 in 2019, averaging 27.7 fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, he has struggled with injuries since his MVP season, including missing 10 games over the past two years. However, fantasy players had high hopes for the superstar in 2023.

What Did Lamar Jackson Accomplish In Week 2?
The former Louisville star had a disappointing Week 1 performance against the Houston Texans. He completed 77.3% of his 22 pass attempts for 169 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception. Jackson did have six rushing attempts for 38 yards and a fumble in the game. Unfortunately, the veteran scored only 6.56 fantasy points in the win.
However, Jackson was significantly better in the Week 2 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The former first-round pick completed 72.7% of his 33 pass attempts for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Furthermore, he had 12 rushing attempts for 54 yards, ending the game with 22.88 fantasy points. More importantly, the veteran didn’t have a turnover in the victory over the division rivals.
Is Lamar Jackson Injured Or Healthy?
While fantasy players are happy with Jackson’s fantasy production in Week 2, they also had a brief scare. The superstar quarterback suffered an injury to his non-throwing hand against the Bengals. Thankfully, the injury is minor, and the former Louisville star is off the injury report and ready to play this week.
Fantasy players should be excited that Jackson will be 100% for the Week 3 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. While Anthony Richardson has been the talk surrounding the Colts this season, their pass defense has been awful. Indianapolis has surrendered 312.5 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 19.6 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Jackson could be the overall QB1 in Week 3.
