1 year agoThe Texas Rangers have promoted pitching prospect Jack Leiter to Triple-A Round Rock. The 2021 second-overall pick turned things around with Frisco after a devastating July 7 start (six runs allowed with just one out recorded) sent him to the developmental list for nearly two months. In four starts since returning from the developmental list, Leiter holds a 3.31 ERA, 39.7% strikeout rate, 6.3% walk rate, and 0.92 WHIP. The 23-year-old's promotion bodes well for a call-up in the coming season.
