Dalton Rushing Goes Yard Twice
Los Angeles Dodgers catcher prospect Dalton Rushing crushed two home runs and knocked in five runs during his most recent appearance for High-A Great Lakes on Sunday. This was Rushing's best performance of the postseason thus far. The 22-year-old finished the regular season with a .228/.404/.452 slash line with 15 home runs across 89 games. Rushing is the top-ranked prospect in the Dodgers' farm system and the No. 43 prospect in baseball, per MLB Pipeline. Although he hasn't hit for average, Rushing exhibits exceptional offensive upside for a catcher thanks to plus power and plate discipline. He is likely still at least a year or two away from an MLB debut.
