1 year agoA.J. Allmendinger starts the Bristol race from the 22nd position on Saturday night. Last year, the Kaulig Racing driver began 13th and ended up seventh. The No. 16 car was close to and around the top five cars most of the night. That was especially true during the second half of the race. With a 125-125-250 stage setup, Allmendinger will need a few longer runs to move up. Practice speed was around the middle of the pack though and that might be a concern.
