Mitch Garver Leaves Game Early, X-Rays Negative
1 year agoTexas Rangers catcher/designated hitter Mitch Garver was removed from Thursday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays after fouling a ball off his foot. Garver hobbled up the line a few pitches later and was taken out for his next at-bat. Fortunately, X-rays confirmed that there is no fracture and he is listed as having a left forefoot contusion. This is a sigh of relief for fantasy managers, as Garver has been one of the better catcher-eligible players for the last few months. He may still miss some games, so be sure to check for updates tomorrow.
