Veteran running back Leonard Fournette has been a productive fantasy football asset since being selected with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. However, the 28-year-old went unsigned this offseason after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fournette could find a home sooner than later, especially since the running back position always sees key players go down with injuries.
Will Fournette play in 2023? Which teams would be a good fit for Fournette? Let's dive in.

Will Leonard Fournette Play in 2023?
Fournette was unimpressive last season, rushing for just 668 yards and three touchdowns on 3.5 yards per carry. However, he caught 73 of his 83 targets for 523 yards and three receiving scores. He still has some juice as a pass-catcher and went on a visit with the New England Patriots this offseason.
We can assume the two-time 1,000-yard rusher is looking for the right opportunity, so he might be worth picking up off the waiver wire -- at least in deep leagues.
Which Teams Could Sign Leonard Fournette This Season?
The Indianapolis Colts have been rumored to be linked to Fournette, and the Baltimore Ravens could also be interested in his services after losing J.K. Dobbins for the season due to a torn Achilles.
However, the possibilities are endless given the injury rate at the running back position in the NFL. As the season moves along and more running backs enter the injury headlines, leaguewide interest for Fournette will increase.
Though he is past his prime and is unlikely to post RB1 numbers in 2023, he could have value in deep PPR formats if he lands in the right situation. He and Kareem Hunt are both looking for new jobs and will likely draw interest from the same organizations moving forward.
Again, it might be a good idea to pick him up now. If he does sign with a team, it'll be much tougher to acquire him in fantasy football.
