Jasson Dominguez To Have Tommy John Surgery
1 year agoNew York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez (elbow) will have Tommy John surgery on his right elbow to fix a torn UCL and is expected to be out for nine to 10 months, according to manager Aaron Boone. Dominguez, the club's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, recently made his major-league debut and went 8-for-31 (.258) with four home runs, seven RBI, a stolen base and six runs scored in just eight games. The 20-year-old Dominican switch-hitter they call "The Martian" has incredible upside and will still be worth stashing in most fantasy leagues in 2024, despite the fact that he probably won't make his season debut until around midseason next year. In 109 games for Double-A Somerset in 2023, he hit .254/.367/.414 with 15 homers, 66 RBI, 37 stolen bases and 83 runs scored in 507 trips to the plate.
