This past offseason, Jakobi Meyers signed a three-year, $33 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. At the time of signing some questions were raised about the Raiders, but they were all put to bed after the wide receiver's performance in Week 1.
Meyers had a pretty good game, as he recorded nine receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns. His chemistry with Jimmy Garoppolo looked off the charts and he was targeted 11 times during the game.
Unfortunately, the game didn't end well for him, as he suffered an injury after taking a hit to the head. He left the game in the fourth quarter, and players looked worried about his health. In this article, we will discuss the severity of Meyers' injury.

Will Jakobi Meyers Play In Week 2?
Recent reports indicate that Jakobi Meyers has been placed on concussion protocol. Due to the fact that the Raiders play on Sunday, he has sufficient time to recover and possibly return to action.
The 26-year-old player had an impressive debut with the Raiders and would not want to miss Week 2. However, his safety will be the team's top priority, so he will not be able to play until he passes the concussion protocol.
Jakobi Meyers Looked Comfortable In Raiders' Offense
As previously stated, many had questions about Meyers' role in the Raiders' offense due to the presence of Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow. Based on what we observed in Week 1, it is clear that the former Patriots player will play a significant role in his new team this season.
Due to his familiarity with Josh McDaniels' offense, he looked comfortable playing in it. Furthermore, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is ideally suited for the system, and he will ensure that all receivers can make plays.
The presence of Adams and Renfrow also helped Meyers, and the North Carolina State product could rack up a lot of points this season. Next week, the Raiders will face the Buffalo Bills who are coming off a devastating loss to the New York Jets.
