Is Romeo Doubs A Good Fantasy Football Pick Up for Week 2? Waiver Wire Outlook

Romeo Doubs - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I pickup Romeo Doubs for fantasy football Week 2? Is Romeo Doubs a good fantasy pick off the waiver wire? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.

The Green Bay Packers entered the 2023 season with question marks all over their young offense. With just their third opening-day starting quarterback since Brett Favre, all eyes were on Jordan Love in Week 1 and he did not disappoint.

Missing presumed top wide receiver Christian Watson, Love spread the ball around to his young receivers and delivered an impressive Week 1 showing.

On the receiving end of two of his three touchdowns was second-year receiver Romeo Doubs.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

What Did Romeo Doubs Do In Week 1?

Doubs entered the Week 1 game with a hamstring injury and ended up playing on a pitch count. He ended up playing 48% of the snaps but did not disappoint when he was on the field.

Love threw the ball Doubs’ way five times in the 38-20 victory. He secured four receptions for 26 yards and two touchdowns including this impressive grab.

Doubs reportedly built a rapport with Jordan Love over the offseason and it showed as they connected for two scores on Sunday.

Should I Pick Up Romeo Doubs Off the Waiver Wire in Fantasy Football?

Long answer short: absolutely. Doubs looked every part of a red zone threat on limited snaps on Sunday, but could be even more as he becomes more healthy. Even upon Christian Watson’s return, Doubs could still be Jordan Love’s most trusted target.

He has shown crisp routes, the ability to snag jump balls, and reliable hands. Furthermore, Aaron Jones is likely to miss a week or two with a hamstring injury. This should free up even more receiving work for Doubs to feast in the short term, and long-term he has the potential to emerge as a target hog. Go get Doubs if he is on your waiver wire.
