Giancarlo Stanton Hits Big Home Run Sunday
1 year agoNew York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton hit a game-tying home run in the bottom of the 12th inning on Sunday in an eventual 4-3 win over the visiting Milwaukee Brewers in 13 innings. Stanton finished the day going 1-for-3 with the home run, two RBI, a run scored, two walks and a strikeout. The 33-year-old veteran slugger now has 23 home runs, 57 RBI and 42 runs scored on the year to go along with a .200/.282/.442 slash line. Fantasy managers can't count on Stanton to hit for average at this point of his career, and he's gone just 4-for-25 (.160) with three home runs, six RBI, 12 strikeouts and six runs scored in seven starts so far in the month of September.
