Elijah Mitchell Finds Little Involvement In Season Opener
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell handled five carries for 10 yards and no catches on one target in Sunday's Week 1 win at the Pittsburgh Steelers. While fantasy managers understand that Mitchell is clearly secondary to Christian McCaffrey in San Francisco's offense, it would have been nice to see him average more than two yards per carry. In most leagues, Mitchell's value at this point is as a top-end stash in the event of a McCaffrey injury. Keep him on the bench next week when the 49ers face the Rams in Los Angeles.
