Mike Evans, Bucs Unable To Agree On Extension
1 year agoAccording to ESPN's Adam Schefter, wide receiver Mike Evans and the Bucs were unable to reach an agreement on a long-term contract extension. The wideout imposed a deadline for both sides to come to terms on a new deal. However, it didn't happen, so this could mark his final year in Tampa Bay. Evans is the highest-producing receiver in team history, amassing 683 catches for 10,425 yards and 81 touchdowns in 137 regular-season games. He's also a multi-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl champion. That said, Evans should draw plenty of interest as a free agent in 2024-25, assuming Tampa no longer wants him around. While the 30-year-old isn't as productive as he once was, he may have at least a few more quality fantasy seasons on the horizon.
