Aaron Jones A Borderline Top 12 Option Against Chicago
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears in the regular season opener this Sunday. Playing without quarterback Aaron Rodgers under center for the first time in his career, the 28-year-old back is destined for a heavy workload against a beatable Chicago defense. The Bears allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in 2022. Even with an improved defense, Chicago should not strike fear into anyone starting skill players against them in fantasy. Jones could be leaned on heavily in the passing game as well. Christian Watson (hamstring) was ruled out this past Friday, and No. 2 receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) is listed as questionable. The veteran back will be a reliable safety blanket for quarterback Jordan Love, giving Jones a top-12 ceiling in the Week 1 matchup.
