Ryan Pepiot Dominates Marlins
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Ryan Pepiot earned his second win on Thursday, firing seven shutout innings in a 10-0 shellacking of the Miami Marlins. Pepiot had everything working in this one, allowing just one hit and walking none. He was pitching to contact, as he only managed three strikeouts, but the contact he allowed was of the soft variety (81.9 mph average exit velocity). With a dazzling 0.86 ERA and 0.52 WHIP in 21 IP this season, it would be shocking to see the 26-year-old get set back to the minors after this one, especially with Julio Urias being unavailable for the foreseeable future. He is a must-add in all leagues and could be a league-winner.
