1 year agoAnother NASCAR Silly Season domino has fallen. After parting ways with Noah Gragson earlier this year, it was unknown who would be driving the No. 42 Toyota for Legacy Motor Club next season, but the organization announced yesterday that John Hunter Nemechek will be behind the wheel starting in 2024. Currently, Nemechek drives for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series and has amassed a series-leading five wins through the first 25 races this season. He previously raced in the Cup Series during the 2020 season for Front Row Motorsports, averaging a finish of 22.4 with three top-10 results during the 36-race season. Legacy Motor Club will move to Toyota starting next season and will also have Erik Jones alongside John Hunter Nemechek as their full-time Cup Series drivers.--Jordan McAbee
