Carl Nassib Announces Retirement From The NFL
1 year agoOutside linebacker Carl Nassib, the first openly gay active player in NFL history, is retiring from the NFL at the age of 30. Nassib played in 99 regular season games for the Buccaneers, Browns, and Raiders. In 2023, he recorded 23 tackles and 3.5 sacks in Tampa Bay. In a post on social media, Nassib called his retirement a "bittersweet moment" but added that he feels "like the luckiest guy on the planet."
