Joe Burrow Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) appears to be ready to play against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's a little more optimistic than head coach Zac Taylor calling the signal caller "day-to-day" earlier this week.
We'll get more clarity when Cincinnati releases the first injury report of the season on Wednesday. If Burrow plays, he'll be a QB1 for fantasy managers. Jake Browning is serving as the backup for the Bengals to begin the season.
Kyler Murray Injury Update
After Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) will play when healthy, he told a local Arizona radio station on Tuesday that Murray will suit up this season. The Cardinals' quarterback tore his ACL in Week 14 against the New England Patriots and will begin the 2023 season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
He will miss at least the first four games of the year and remains without a set timetable. With an expected return later this season, Murray is a great fantasy quarterback stash in all formats. (CBSSports.com)
Tyler Huntley Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley (hamstring) returned to practice on Monday after missing all of last week. It's a good sign that Huntley rejoined the team to begin the week heading into the regular season opener in Week 1 on Sunday against the Houston Texans, but he's still not a lock to be active as Lamar Jackson's backup.
The 25-year-old obviously won't be fantasy relevant as long as Jackson is healthy. If Huntley isn't cleared for the first week of the 2023 regular season, veteran journeyman Josh Johnson will serve as Jackson's backup in Week 1 against the Texans.
