John Means To Make Final Rehab Start Wednesday
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means (back, elbow) is set to make his sixth and likely final rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. The 30-year-old made his first rehab start on August 10 but has been out of action since April 2022 recovering from Tommy John surgery and a left teres major strain. While Means has spent his career as a starter, manager Brandon Hyde said there are, "some plans in place and different scenarios" for his role when he does return. If he were to join the starting rotation, he could be a late-season boost to fantasy lineups, as he owns a career 3.81 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 70 career games (65 starts).
