Chase Silseth Still Working Through Discomfort
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels manager Phil Nevin said that right-hander Chase Silseth (concussion) is still working through discomfort as he tries to return from a concussion. Silseth was hit in the head by an errant infield throw on Aug. 26 but avoided a serious injury. "He's good. Every once in a while, he'll feel a little something when he's throwing and he gets really built up," Nevin said. "But that's diminishing each day, which is comforting to us." The 23-year-old was hospitalized after the injury but was initially cleared for a concussion. With time running out in the 2023 regular season and the Angels now out of the playoff picture, it's very possible that Silseth won't pitch again this year.
