"Hot-Hand" Approach In Indianapolis Could Benefit Evan Hull
1 year agoWith Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on the PUP list, head coach Shane Steichen suggested that whoever has the "hot hand" will continue to receive work. This will be a running back-by-committee approach to begin the season. Second-string runner Zack Moss (arm) is still a question mark for Week 1 as he recovers from a broken arm. Deon Jackson will likely get the start against Jacksonville, with Evan Hull mixing in. The rookie is the favorite to operate as the third-down back (he led college football in catches and receiving yards among running backs last season). With the Jaguars coming in as five-point road favorites, the Colts could be playing from behind with Hull in the backfield.
