1 year agoSan Diego Padres catching prospect Ethan Salas (knee) will be sidelined for roughly four weeks with a right knee strain, meaning he will likely miss Double-A San Antonio's Texas League playoffs. The 17-year-old is the team's top prospect and the No. 5 prospect in all of baseball, per MLB's Prospect Pipeline. While the Padres are not ruling out a return, they will likely remain very cautious given Salas' high prospect pedigree. Salas spent most of his time this season with Single-A Lake Elsinore, although he was able to get 33 plate appearances at Double-A prior to his injury. He is still a ways away from seeing playing time with the Padres, but Salas remains a top name in dynasty fantasy leagues.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
