Ciryl Gane Dominates In The Main Event
1 year agoIn front of a hometown crowd at the Accor Arena in Paris, Ciryl Gane put together a sensational striking display and much-improved takedown defense to defeat Sergey Spivak via second-round TKO in the UFC Fight Night 226 main event on Saturday. This was a much-needed win for Gane, as he suffered a humiliating defeat in his last fight against Jon Jones via guillotine-choke submission in the first round of a heavyweight title fight at UFC 285. In 8:44 of action, Gane landed 109 significant strikes compared to Spivak, who only landed 11. With the win, Gane improved his record to 12-2.
