The NASCAR Cup Series ran the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday evening, and it was Kyle Larson who finally got a win at "The Lady in Black" after coming so close several times throughout his career. With his win, Larson is now locked into the Round of 12 for the Playoffs.
When it came to Green Flag Speed, Larson was the fastest during the race as well. He was followed by Tyler Reddick, who finished 2nd, and then Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin, who both had great race cars but had issues late that relegated them to bad finishes. Chris Buescher, who wound up with a third-place finish, was fifth-fastest in Green Flag Speed.
Of the top-five finishers, Ross Chastain was the slowest in Green Flag Speed, ranking 15th-fastest on the night but winding up with a fifth-place finish. All of the other top-five finishers ranked inside the top six when it came ot Green Flag Speed.
