PrizePicks is a great DFS picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.
On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.
The second game is known as Single Stat which consists of specific props (catches, yard, touchdowns, etc) in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total.
You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!
NFL DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for TNF
Patrick Mahomes MORE than 299.5 passing yards
Mahomes and the Chiefs should come out energized and ready to throw the ball all over the yard much as they did last season when Mahomes won the NFL MVP award.
He will be up against a Lions defense that allowed an average of nearly 262 passing yards per game to the quarterback position, which ranked third-worst in the league. Mahomes also threw for 300 passing yards or more in 10 games in 2022, including eclipsing this total in eight of his final 12 games.
Jahmyr Gibbs MORE than 73.5 rushing + receiving yards
Gibbs will enter this season as a focal point of the Lions' offense as he will line up in the backfield as well as in the slot receiver position, which is why I like this play rather than just a receiving yards prop or a rushing yards prop.
He will be up against a Chiefs defense that allowed running backs to average 46 receiving yards per game, which ranked fourth-worst in the league. Gibbs should be able to have a nice game here, especially when you consider they are 6.5-point underdogs in this game and could be looking to throw a bit more later in the game.
Travis Kelce MORE than 80.5 receiving yards
UPDATE: Kelce is questionable with a knee injury, so keep an eye on this status.
With all of the new faces in the Chiefs's passing game, it is highly likely that Kelce will continue to get the bulk of the work in this game (and in future games for that matter) as Mahomes will still be looking to build a rapport with the rest of the receiving corps.
This is good news for Kelce as the Lions allowed tight ends to average nearly 50 receiving yards per game, which ranked in the bottom half of the league in 2022. This is also a number that Kelce eclipsed in nine games throughout 2022, including five games after the bye week.
Jared Goff MORE than 1.5 passing touchdowns
As aforementioned, the Lions are 6.5-point underdogs in this game, which should lend to some extra passing for this offense. Their team total is also set at 23.5 points, which means they are expected to do some scoring in this one.
Goff threw for two or more touchdowns in nine games a season ago and should be able to find success against this Chiefs defense as well as they allowed 33 passing touchdowns to the quarterback position in 2022, which ranked last in the league.
