1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers announced on Thursday that they signed free-agent third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) to a minor-league deal. He will report to Triple-A Nashville. The New York Yankees recently released Donaldson, who has been out with a right-calf strain since the middle of July. On top of injuries, the 37-year-old former MVP has looked overmatched at the plate, hitting just .142 (15-for-106) this year with 10 home runs, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored in his time in the Bronx in 2023. He'll need to get healthy first and then prove himself before the Brewers consider him an option at third base late in the season. For now, Donaldson remains off the fantasy radar in all mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
