Greg Allen Signs Minor-League Deal With Brewers
1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers signed free-agent outfielder Greg Allen to a minor-league deal on Thursday. He will report to Triple-A Nashville. The club also acquired outfielder Chris Roller from the Cleveland Guardians exchange for cash considerations. Allen became a free agent last week after being cut by the New York Yankees. The 30-year-old switch-hitter hit .217 (5-for-23) with a home run, one RBI and three stolen bases in his 22 games for the Yankees. He'll strictly serve as minor-league outfield depth for the first-place Brewers. In seven big-leagues seasons, Allen has slashed .231/.300/.340 with 11 home runs, 68 RBI and 48 stolen bases in 304 games played.
