Harrison Bader Picked Up By Cincinnati
1 year agoThe Cincinnati Reds claimed outfielder Harrison Bader off waivers from the New York Yankees on Thursday, according to sources. The Reds added both Bader and outfielder Hunter Renfroe off waivers on Thursday as they attempt to win a wild-card spot in the National League in the final month of the regular season. They're currently just one game out of the final spot. The 29-year-old Bader should at least have a platoon spot in center field for his new team in Cincy with TJ Friedl. The oft-injured Bader could probably use a change of scenery, too, as he was hitting .240 (69-for-288) with seven home runs, 37 RBI, 17 stolen bases and 40 runs scored for the Yankees this year. Bader will hit the open market this winter as a free agent.
