Robby Snelling Deals Five Hitless Innings
1 year agoSan Diego Padres pitching prospect Robby Snelling tossed five no-hit innings, issuing three walks and striking out nine hitters during his most recent outing with Double-A San Antonio. The 19-year-old now owns an outstanding 1.80 ERA through 20 starts across three minor-league levels this season. Snelling already ranks as the Padres' top pitching prospect and the No. 64 overall prospect in baseball, per MLB Pipeline. He features a 60-grade slider, complemented by a fastball that sits in the mid-90s and a developing changeup. Snelling has carved up each level of the minors he's faced and may ascend to the majors much quicker than initially expected. He won't debut any time soon, but dynasty managers should certainly be familiar with Snelling.
