1 year agoSan Diego Padres pitching prospect Robby Snelling tossed five no-hit innings, issuing three walks and striking out nine hitters during his most recent outing with Double-A San Antonio. The 19-year-old now owns an outstanding 1.80 ERA through 20 starts across three minor-league levels this season. Snelling already ranks as the Padres' top pitching prospect and the No. 64 overall prospect in baseball, per MLB Pipeline. He features a 60-grade slider, complemented by a fastball that sits in the mid-90s and a developing changeup. Snelling has carved up each level of the minors he's faced and may ascend to the majors much quicker than initially expected.
