Luis Severino Pitches Gem Monday, Earns Win
1 year agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino improved to 4-8 in Monday's 4-1 win over the Tigers. Severino pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing five hits and no walks with eight strikeouts. This was the second consecutive strong outing for the 29-year-old, who has struggled mightily overall with a 6.64 ERA in 81 1/3 innings pitched. While injuries have kept Severino from accumulating big innings, he had delivered strong results when he did pitch prior to this season. While he now has two encouraging starts in a row, fantasy managers should still be cautious, particularly in his next start at the Astros. At this point, fantasy managers cannot afford to trust him.
