Dalton Rushing Homers In Third Consecutive Game
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers prospect Dalton Rushing went yard during both legs of a doubleheader on Saturday, marking three straight contests with a home run. The 22-year-old catcher is now slashing .222/.401/.435 with 12 home runs through 80 games with High-A Great Lakes. Rushing is the top prospect in the Dodgers farm system and the No. 46 prospect in baseball, per MLB Pipeline. He features tremendous power-hitting ability for a catcher. Though his batting average has dipped in 2023, Rushing is getting on base plenty thanks to an outstanding 18.9% walk rate. Rushing's mature plate discipline is evident, but he is still progressing defensively and figures to be a year or two away from major-league action.
