After an offseason filled with uncertainty over his contract situation, Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to a reworked, one-year deal worth up to $12 million, according to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.
Jacobs led the NFL in rushing yards last season, running for a career-high 1,653 yards and 12 TDs while serving as a true bell-cow back in Josh McDaniels' first year at the helm of the Las Vegas Raiders.
The University of Alabama product balked at playing under the NFL's franchise tag for the upcoming season. He has not been with the team during the offseason or training camp as a result of his contract status. With a new deal now reached, Jacobs is set to report to the team and will presumably be a full-go for the Raiders in Week 1. What is Josh Jacobs' fantasy football outlook for the 2023 season?

Josh Jacobs Fantasy Football Outlook
Josh Jacobs was one of the most valuable - and surprising - fantasy performers of the 2022 NFL season. In his fourth year in the NFL, Jacobs logged career highs practically across the board in 2022, including rushing attempts (340), rushing yards (1,653), and TDs (12). He finished the year as the overall fantasy RB1 in Standard Scoring leagues and the NFL's leading rusher in what was by far his most productive season as a pro.
He’s back: The #Raiders and star RB Josh Jacobs have agreed to terms on a new one-year contract that can be worth up to $12M, sources tell me and @TomPelissero, taking the place of the franchise tag.

Despite Jacobs' holdout during the offseason and training camp, the Raiders made no moves in the offseason to add running back depth behind him, with second-year back Zamir White expected to remain the backup RB in Vegas for the 2023 campaign. While it will be hard for Jacobs to match his elite 2022 fantasy output, he projects to again be one of the NFL's few bell-cow backs and should once again be in for a large workload in this Vegas offense.
Jacobs currently ranks as the RB8 in our 2023 RotoBaller Draft Rankings (Half-PPR), although we could see his ADP start to creep up now that his contract and 2023 availability are no longer concerns.
