P.J. Washington Finally Gets New Contract
1 year agoAccording to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, restricted free-agent forward/center P.J. Washington agreed to a three-year, $48 million contract to remain in Charlotte. The 25-year-old finished last season by averaging a career-high 15.7 points along with 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 blocks in 73 games. He has emerged as one of the Hornets' most reliable producers, and there is reason to believe he'll be even better during the 2023-24 campaign. While he should continue to see consistent minutes, his three-point shooting has regressed through the years, negatively impacting his category value.
