No Structural Damage For Emerson Hancock
1 year agoSeattle Mariners rookie right-hander Emerson Hancock (shoulder) doesn't have a tear or any structural damage in his right shoulder, but given that the recovery time frame for his injury was roughly four to six weeks when he suffered it during an Aug. 20 start, his 2023 season is likely over. Hancock was moved to the 60-day injured list on Aug. 22, one day after landing on the 15-day injured list. The 24-year-old was diagnosed with a Grade 1 shoulder strain and received a platelet-rich plasma injection on Tuesday in order to speed up the healing process. The good news is Hancock should be fully recovered by spring training next year, where he will look to open the 2024 season as a full-time member of Seattle's starting rotation.
