1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy ran the ball for a touchdown on his lone carry in the 49ers' 23-12 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday night. On the play, Purdy scrambled to his left, held the safety with a pump fake, and jogged in untouched. With his arm, Purdy completed five of nine passes for 73 yards. In two preseason appearances, Purdy has looked every bit like the quarterback who propelled San Francisco to the NFC Championship game in 2022 before injuring his elbow. Friday's rushing touchdown notwithstanding, Purdy isn't expected to contribute to fantasy lineups with his legs.
