Chase Anderson Gives Up Three Runs In Rehab Start
1 year agoColorado Rockies right-hander Chase Anderson (shoulder) allowed three earned runs on five hits (one homer) while walking one and striking out one in 2 2/3 innings in his minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday. Anderson is getting closer to a return to the Rockies after missing almost a month due to right-shoulder inflammation. The 35-year-old hasn't been very effective at all in 14 appearances (12 starts) with the Rockies and Tampa Bay Rays, posting a 6.08 ERA (6.10 FIP), 1.48 WHIP, 20 walks and 44 strikeouts in 60 2/3 innings pitched. There's a chance the Rockies decide to bring him back as a long reliever instead of as a starter.
