Jose Abreu Reinstated From Injured List
1 year agoThe Houston Astros reinstated first baseman Jose Abreu (back) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday and optioned infielder David Hensley to Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move. Abreu is immediately back in the starting lineup on Wednesday against Boston Red Sox left-hander Chris Sale, playing first base and batting sixth in the order. Fantasy managers may want to keep Abreu on their benches, as he had gone 3-for-35 at the plate before getting hurt. In 10 career at-bats against Sale, Abreu is hitting just .200 with three RBI. The 36-year-old veteran has had a down year in his first season in Houston, slashing .234/.291/.343 with only 10 homers, 56 RBI and 43 runs scored in 423 at-bats.
