Jake Browning Plays Well Enough On Friday
1 year agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning threw for 140 yards and an interception off 16-for-22 passing during Friday's preseason tie with the Falcons. He added four carries for 50 yards. The 27-year-old has two picks throughout the preseason and hasn't thrown a touchdown toss. However, Trevor Siemian, the favorite to claim the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, hasn't played much better, so Browning has done enough to remain in the running for the job. With Joe Burrow (calf) on the shelf, Browning could draw fantasy interest from those in deep Superflex setups if he starts in Week 1, especially with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd as his primary targets.
