Tyree Jackson Leads Philadelphia In Receiving Thursday Night
Tyree Jackson caught both of his targets and gained 41 yards during the team's 18-18 preseason tie with the Cleveland Browns. The 25-year-old tore his ACL at the end of the 2021 season and failed to net a reception in 2022. The fact that Philadelphia brought him back this offseason to a crowded tight-end room shows that they believe he is talented, and he showed his explosiveness on a completion deep up the right side of the field for 35 yards in the fourth quarter Thursday night. However, with Dan Arnold and second-year tight end Grant Calcaterra likely making the final 53-man roster, Jackson will have a tough time surviving cutdowns unless he absolutely explodes next week against the Colts. Expect Jackson to land on the Eagles practice squad by the time the regular season rolls around.

Tyree Jackson To Start Camp On PUP List
Tyree Jackson (knee) and offensive lineman Brett Toth will both begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to a source. If they remain on the PUP list during the start of the regular season, they'll be forced to miss the first four weeks of the season. At 6-foot-7, 249 pounds, Jackson has excellent size and athleticism at the position, and he entered last training camp as an intriguing developmental player for the Eagles. He was impressing last summer before suffering a serious back injury that caused him to miss eight games, and then he tore his ACL in Week 18 after catching his first touchdown. The 24-year-old remains an intriguing developmental player at the position, but his injuries last year have set him back.

Tyree Jackson Suffers Torn ACL
Tyree Jackson (knee) tore his ACL in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source. The Eagles initially believed that Jackson avoided an ACL injury, but further testing confirmed that wasn't the case. Jackson won't be available for the playoffs and will miss valuable on-field workouts this spring and likely into the summer. The 24-year-old saw an expanded role in Week 18 with Dallas Goedert on the COVID-19 list, catching three of five targets for 22 yards and his first NFL touchdown on Saturday. In nine games, Jackson had three catches for 22 yards and the one touchdown on seven targets. Goedert should be available for the wild card round of the postseason next week as Philly's starting tight end.

Tyree Jackson Believed To Have Avoided ACL Injury
Tyree Jackson (knee) will undergo more tests after getting injured in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but the early belief is that he didn't suffer an ACL injury, according to a source. Jackson will undergo an MRI exam on Sunday. Before he injured his right knee, Jackson had three catches for 22 yards and his first touchdown in the NFL on five targets in the blowout loss to Dallas in which the Eagles rested most of their starters, including quarterback Jalen Hurts. Tight ends Dallas Goedert and Jack Stoll were both out due to COVID-19, too, so Jackson saw his most playing time of the season. Jackson could have avoided serious damage to his knee, but even if he's ready for the wild-card round, he's unlikely to have much of a role if Goedert is able to return.

Eagles Activate Tyree Jackson From Injured Reserve
Tyree Jackson (back) from Injured Reserve on Saturday and also elevated running back Jordan Howard and wide receiver John Hightower from the practice squad to the active roster. Jackson has yet to appear in an NFL game, but the Eagles have high hopes for him in the future. There's opportunity for the 23-year-old to factor into the offense by season's end behind Dallas Goedert. Rookie Jack Stoll is the only other tight end on Philadelphia's active roster. But don't expect much from Jackson this year after he recovered from a fractured back that he suffered in the middle of training camp. Jackson is a converted quarterback that is worth keeping an eye on.
