Houston Astros right-hander Hunter Brown is lined up to make his next start this Sunday against the Seattle Mariners. Brown picked up a win on Tuesday over the Miami Marlins after throwing two innings out of the bullpen, and now he'll make his next start this weekend. The 24-year-old struggled in his last start on Aug. 10 against the Baltimore Orioles, allowing five earned runs in six innings, but he also fanned seven and walked none in that outing. Overall, Brown has been pretty solid in his first full season as a starter in the big leagues, going 9-8 with a 4.16 ERA (3.93 FIP), 1.28 WHIP, 39 walks and 138 strikeouts covering 125 1/3 innings over his 23 outings (22 starts). Lock him back into starting fantasy lineups this weekend against the M's.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown shut down the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, tossing seven scoreless frames in a 7-0 win. Brown dominated in this one, allowing just two hits and a walk while striking out nine. It appears to be a breakout season for the 26-year-old, who now has a 1.16 ERA and 0.74 WHIP with 31 strikeouts over 31 innings. He has quality starts in each of his five outings and has been able to limit hard contact while generating a solid amount of whiffs this season. His fantasy managers should be excited about his potential, even if his numbers will likely regress slightly. He is a must-start pitcher in every format.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown continued his excellent string of starts in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Cardinals. Brown pitched six innings, allowing four hits and two walks with four strikeouts. The 26-year-old has turned in a quality start in each of his first four starts, going 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP, and an 8.25 K/9 rate over 24 IP. Brown put together a solid 2024 campaign after an erratic 2023 and seems to have taken another step forward to start 2025. He will look to continue his quality start streak in his next scheduled matchup, which will be a middling one against the Blue Jays.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

Houston Astros right-hander Hunter Brown turned in a quality start in a 7-6 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday. Brown threw six shutout innings while striking out three, walking none, and scattering two hits in the contest. The veteran hurler unfortunately had to settle for a no-decision after handing a 4-0 lead to the Houston bullpen upon departing. Brown has been excellent for the Astros on the mound through three starts this season, posting a 1-1 record, 2.00 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, and 18 strikeouts over 18 innings of work. He will look to keep it going in his next start, which is slated for Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.--Matt T - RotoBaller

Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown got off to a rough start during Thursday's game against the Minnesota Twins. The right-hander gave up two runs in the first inning, but settled down nicely after that. Brown would follow that rough first frame with five scoreless innings to record his second quality start of the season. Brown allowed five hits, walked no one, and struck out eight batters in the win over Minnesota. He'll take a 3.00 ERA and 15 strikeouts through 12 innings into his next start against the Seattle Mariners.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
