Chiefs Not Rushing Kadarius Toney Back From Knee Injury
1 year agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney suffered a setback-type injury to his knee just a day before training camp began and hasn't been practicing leading up to Week 1 of the regular season. It sounds like the team is in no hurry to get him back on the field and will be patient with the 24-year-old wideout. "We're not going to rush it. I don't think we have any expectations right now," Chiefs assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi said. "We're just going to take it day by day and see how he is." Toney has flashed his athleticism in spurts since entering the league in 2021 but has only played in 19 of his 34 possible games. He'll carry plenty of injury risk into 2023 and could be used as merely a gadget player.
