Lee Hodges has had a strong start to the season, recording finishes of T33, T9, T34, and T10 while ranking 13th in total strokes gained. He now shifts his focus to the WM Phoenix Open, an event he has played twice, missing the cut both times. This course rewards strong drivers, and Hodges excels in that area, ranking 19th in total driving with above-average numbers in both driving distance (305.3 yards) and accuracy (64.73%). His approach game is solid as well, ranking 70th in strokes gained on approach, but most of his success comes from inside 150 yards. 64.2% of approach shots at TPC Scottsdale are from 150-plus yards out, and this is where Hodges tends to struggle, ranking in the 48th percentile for proximity from that distance over the last two years. With a price tag of $7,100 on DraftKings and his recent form, Hodges is certainly worth consideration for fantasy lineups.

Lee Hodges recently finished tied for 46th place at the Genesis Scottish Open and is gearing up to compete at TPC Twin Cities for the 3M Open. Hodges has been quietly making a mark this year, achieving three top-25 finishes in his last eight tournaments. Notably, he clinched victory at the 3M Open last year and placed tied for 16th in 2022. It's worth noting that at last year's event, more than 37% of approach shots came from 150-200 yards. Over the past year, Hodges has consistently ranked in the 56th percentile in proximity to the hole for approach shots from this distance in the fairway. With his impressive track record and current form, Hodges is worth consideration for DFS lineups this week.

Lee Hodges had been on a nice run of good form. The American golfer nearly finished in the Top 10 at the Arnold Palmer and PGA Championship. Hodges made five straight cuts before missing the cut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. His biggest weakness may be off the tee where he ranks 131st in strokes gained (-0.216). Part of that is his 293.7 average driving distance but he is 28th in driving accuracy (68.05%). A few more yards might help his birdie fortunes. Hodges ranks 147th in birdie average at 3.50. The John Deere Classic has seen white a few birdies made. It has taken a -21 the past two years to win. Hodges will need to make more putts.

Lee Hodges has quietly put together some solid performances in recent months, and fantasy managers have hopefully taken notice. The second-year PGA Tour professional has posted four top-30 finishes in his last seven starts, including a pair of T12 results at the Genesis Scottish Open this month and the Memorial Tournament in early June. Hodges' accuracy off the tee should help him steer clear of the 3M's 27 water hazards, and he has shown the ability to get hot with his putter at low-scoring events. He gained 11.26 strokes from tee to green en route to a T16 finish at last year's event, and fantasy managers should be able to expect similar upside from Hodges this year at a $7,300 price tag on DraftKings.
