Rays Put Manuel Margot On 10-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe Tampa Bay Rays placed outfielder Manuel Margot (elbow) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with loose bodies in his right elbow and recalled infielder Jonathan Aranda from the minors in a corresponding move. Margot will have surgery to remove the loose bodies in his elbow on Wednesday, and the anticipated timeline for recovery is three to four weeks. As long as he doesn't encounter any setbacks along the way, the 28-year-old should return to the Rays at some point in mid-September. In the meantime, it should mean more playing time for left-handed-hitting outfielders Luke Raley and Josh Lowe. Margot has done very little for fantasy managers in 2023, as he's hitting .249/.300/.354 with only three home runs, 30 RBI, eight stolen bases and 33 runs scored in 85 games played in his fourth year in Tampa.
