Josh Harrison Signs Minor-League Deal With Rangers
1 year agoThe Texas Rangers signed free-agent infielder/outfielder Josh Harrison to a minor-league deal on Tuesday. Harrison hit just .204/.263/.291 with two home runs, three doubles, 10 RBI and eight runs scored in 40 games for the Philadelphia Phillies this year before they released him earlier this month. The 36-year-old veteran can pretty much play all around the infield, so he'll give Texas some infield depth moving forward with starting third baseman Josh Jung (thumb) sidelined. The two-time All-Star will begin in the minors for now but could resurface in the big leagues for Texas next month when rosters expand. Harrison remains off the fantasy radar.
