Kutter Crawford Fans Two In No-Decision Sunday
1 year agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford picked up a no-decision in Sunday's 6-3 win over the visiting Detroit Tigers on Sunday. In the outing, Crawford allowed only two earned runs on three hits (one homer) while walking one and striking out two in 4 2/3 innings of work. Length has been an issue for the 27-year-old, as he hasn't gone beyond the fifth inning in any of his last five starts despite pitching well during that span. Since July 21, Crawford has a 3.97 ERA (4.55 FIP), five walks and 22 strikeouts in 22 2/3 frames in five starts. In his third year in the big leagues, Crawford has gone 5-6 with a career-best 3.80 ERA (4.18 FIP), 1.13 WHIP, 22 walks and 89 strikeouts in 90 innings over 23 appearances (15 starts).
