Jayden Reed Gets First-Team Reps In Preseason Opener
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed nabbed both his targets and gained 20 yards during the team's 36-19 preseason victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The second-round pick was on the field with the first-team offense, catching his lone target from starting quarterback Jordan Love for a 5-yard gain on the opening play of the second offensive drive. Reed was given more snaps with the second-team offense, gaining an additional 15 yards before his night came to an end. It is a great sign to see the rookie on the field with starters Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, but he will likely be the 5th read for Love after the likes of Watson, Doubs, Aaron Jones, and rookie tight end Luke Musgrave, who tied for the team lead in targets with the starting offense Friday. We should see more of Reed this upcoming Saturday night when the Packers take on the New England Patriots.
