Dodgers Hope To Have J.D. Martinez Back Sunday
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that designated hitter J.D. Martinez (hamstring) is feeling better after getting an epidural injection on Wednesday. Martinez will go through pregame work on Saturday, and the Dodgers are now hoping to have him available on Sunday for the series finale against the Colorado Rockies. Sunday will mark a full week since the 35-year-old has played for the Blue because of a left-hamstring injury. It doesn't sound too serious, but the Dodgers are playing it safe with the veteran for now and aren't going to rush him back too soon. Chris Taylor is getting a turn as the DH on Friday for the Dodgers against Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber. Martinez has produced plenty of power and runs for his fantasy managers in his first year in LA, as he has 25 home runs and 76 RBI in 339 at-bats.
