Rays Push Tyler Glasnow Back To Monday
1 year agoThe Tampa Bay Rays have pushed right-hander Tyler Glasnow's (back) next start back to Monday against the San Francisco Giants on the road, according to manager Kevin Cash. Glasnow threw a 15-pitch bullpen session on Friday and was hoping to start on Saturday against the Cleveland Guardians, but the Rays aren't going to force the issue and have decided to give him a couple extra days. The 29-year-old was scratched from his last start last Sunday due to back spasms, so he hasn't pitched since July 31. The Giants probably present a little more of a challenge, but it will be in a pitcher's park. Fantasy managers shouldn't shy away from Glasnow as long as he's fully healthy. He's posted a very strong 3.15 ERA this year with a 1.08 WHIP and 96 strikeouts in 68 2/3 innings over his 12 starts.
