Carlos Rodon Throws On Flat Ground Wednesday
1 year agoNew York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon (hamstring) was able to throw on flat ground on Wednesday in Chicago, just as the Yankees hoped he'd be able to do after landing on the injured list on Monday with a low-grade left-hamstring strain. Rodon wanted to continue pitching through the leg injury, but the Yankees made the final decision to put him on the shelf. The good news is the 30-year-old southpaw could have a short stay on the IL and be able to rejoin the rotation later this month. Rodon has been a pretty big fantasy bust after signing a huge deal with the Yanks over the winter. He's made just six starts due to back and forearm injuries and has a 7.33 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 25 strikeouts in 27 innings.
