1 year agoNew England Patriots running back Ty Montgomery (leg) was among those that didn't take part in pregame warmups on Thursday, making it unlikely that he'll suit up for the team's preseason opener against the Houston Texans. Montgomery has been losing valuable repetitions in training camp as he looks to lock up a complementary pass-catching role this year behind Rhamondre Stevenson. As long as Montgomery continues to miss time, Pierre Strong Jr., Kevin Harris and J.J. Taylor will see more opportunities to impress the coaching staff in the preseason. The 30-year-old played just 19 snaps in the season opener last year before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. At best, the veteran back will be a waiver-wire pickup in 2023 in deep PPR formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
