Danny Jansen Exits After Hit By Pitch
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen (wrist) left Thursday's game early against the Cleveland Guardians after getting hit by a pitch in the right wrist area. Before leaving, Jansen was 0-for-1 with a walk and a run scored before being replaced behind the plate by Alejandro Kirk. Jansen will likely undergo X-rays to check for any broken bones in his wrist, but for now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. Even if Jansen avoids a serious injury, don't be surprised if he's held out of Friday's lineup against the visiting Chicago Cubs. The 28-year-old backstop entered Thursday's action hitting just .218 (52-for-238) on the season but with 15 home runs, 49 RBI and 30 runs scored in 75 games played.
